Acclaimed Breton Folk Singer Dom Duff plays Bethesda this Friday

The acclaimed and award-winning Breton folk singer, songwriter and guitarist Dom Duff is a last minute addition to a concert featuring Tecwyn Ifan at Fitzpatrick’s café Bethesda this Friday, 9th December. The night is a fantastic bargain with tickets only £10 including a meal; they can be booked from the café by phone on 01248 602416.

Dom Duff, a Breton speaker from Bro Pagan, on the north-west coast of Britanny close to Roscoff port was a founder member of the folk band Diwall. He is a virtuoso guitar player as well as an accomplished Breton lyricist and poet. Since embarking on a solo career he has released two award winning albums - STRAED AN AMANN in 2003 and LAGAN in 2006, and has performed throughout Europe on the international folk festival circuit.

This is an incredible opportunity to see him perform in an intimate setting. The concert will be concluded by Welsh folk-singer Tecwyn Ifan, founder member and songwriter of Ac Eraill in the early 1970’s who then embarked on a solo career. He is still greatly loved and admired for his unique gentle voice and the great integrity of his songwriting. His 1977 album, Y Dref Wen, is still acknowledged as a masterpiece.
