Blipfonica Concert 11th Feb
Blipfonica is renowned for staging experimental sonic arts in unexpected places ( castles , swimming pools ) and now they are bringing an 8 channel surround sound experience to a chapel in Caernarfon .
Blipfonica founder Emma Louis explains why this will be her most personal event so far - " I spent an awful lot of my childhood in this chapel , as my taid was the hugely respected gweinidog Ifan Hefin Williams . He was involved with Capel Ebeneser my whole life . It is a huge honour to be able to present a concert in this beautiful building with so many memories . "
For the first time ever , Emma will also be taking the Blipfonica concert stage as a performer, " I have produced sonic installations before but as this is such a personal tribute to my Taid it is important to me to perform in his Capel "
I am also bringing in a very special artist from Liverpool , I have seen Simon Jones perform many times with Noise Club and Frakture . I am a great admirer of his works , the man is a sonic genius . It is so exciting to be hosting him with his solo project Hot Hail .
Along with Emma and Simon , also taking the stage are Allen Ince, Chaparral Andrew Hodges and Ed Wright ahead of his installation presentation in Y Galeri Caernarfon .
We are really looking forward to bringing our sounds to the people of Caernarfon , and we look forward to meeting new people and some old friends at what will be such a momentous occasion . From the profits of this event a donation will be made towards the chapel . .
@Capel Ebeneser Caernarfon . 7pm tickets £5 / £3 under 12 free.
