WOMEX 2011 : TRADE MISSION FUNDING FOR COMPANIES   Please see below an outline for the support recently made available by the Welsh Government for companies wishing to attend WOMEX 2011 in Copenhagen, 26-30 October 2011. This is a trade mission is coordinated by Welsh Music Foundation through Cerdd Cymru : Music Wales.   "The most important international professional market of world music of every kind. This international fair brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music and also includes concerts, conferences and documentary films. It contributes to networking as an effective means of promoting music and culture of all kinds across frontiers."
UNESCO Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity   The offer will be for one delegate per company travelling from Heathrow on 26th October at 5:25pm and returning on 30th October, landing in the UK at 6:55pm with BA. The delegates will be staying in the Phoenix Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. There will also be a private minibus to transport the group from the airport to the hotel and back. If companies require travel on different dates or from a different UK airport this can be arranged through the travel agent although there may be additional costs. The cost per company after a 50% subsidy provided by Welsh Government will be £430. We cannot subsidise any costs incurred in the UK (i.e. hotel at Heathrow, transport to and from UK airports etc).   WOMEX registrations should be booked through Lisa Matthews at Welsh Music Foundation lisa@welshmusicfoundation.com and this will also be subsidised by 50%.   You will be part of the Cerdd Cymru : Music Wales stand and will have the support of experienced staff.
